Achievements

1. DR. ACHANTA LAKSHMIPATHI AYURVEDA LIBRARY TRUST.
Publications of Ayurveda in Telugu were very limited. After the fall of M/s. Vavilla Ramasastrulu & Sons. those published prior to 1950 were not available. None ventured to publish Books of Ayurveda, for the reasons best known to them. With this in background, and lack of reference books for prosecuting the Ayurveda, published books, manuscripts (both palmleaf & paper), old magazines etc.etc were collected numbering more than 2500 for personal reference. Later, it was felt, that this facility be extended to all the ayurvedic fraternity. A reference free Library of Ayurveda was conceived and founded on the name of Dr. Achanta Lakshmipathi, a pioneer publisher of Ayurvedic books in English and Telugu. This library is registered as a Trust. It was said that no other exclusive free reference Library of Ayurveda, run by a voluntary philanthropic organization in South India (probably in entire India)

This is a life time philonthopic, literary contribution of Vaidya Pammi Satyanarayana Sastry to Telugu Fraternity of Ayurveda in South India

2. THE FIRST DIGITAL LIBRARY OF AYURVEDA

Another Life time Achivement.
Since, original books,(samhitas)etc. of Ayurveda are not published since half a century, earlier publications have become/becoming extinct. To save them for the progeny, digitization was thought off and digitization of old literature (printed/manuscripts/old magazines) was started.

Since, last one year, 1050 titles/volumes have been digitized, SINGLE HANDED, and preserved in Dr. Achanta Lakshmipathi Ayurveda Library.

3. THE FIRST COMPREHENSIVE INDEX OF ARTICLES PUBLISHED IN VARIOUS MAGAZINES OF AYURVEDA IN TELUGU.

Yet another unique achivement
Exclusive Magazine on Ayurveda was known to have started by Late Pandit Deevi Gopalacharlu, 1919. Since then several magazines sprouted and vanished. No effort has ever been made either to collect, preserve and above all to make a comprehensive index of articles published in these magazines for the use of Researchers, teachers, students, enthusiasists etc.
This was started and is in the midway. Indexes of dozen of such magazines have been collected. They are to be chonologically/alphabetically arranged and published.

Few more innovative, unique contributions of Vaidya Pammi Satyanarayana Sastry to encourage study of our heritage of Ayurveda
